My Approach

As a psychotherapist I see myself as a collaborator with my clients, who I believe are the expert on their lives.

I am deeply committed to creating a space where clients can learn about themselves as they grow through the struggles of life. We are all dynamic human beings and we all deserve a space to understand all parts of our experiences.

I draw from a client-centered, psychodynamic, narrative, and cognitive approach to psychotherapy, utilizing various interventions from other modalities that meet each client individually. Generally, this means that I focus on what’s happening now while I also seek to better understand early relational experiences. I am curious to understand how the past and the present intersect while also seeking to understand how our narratives affect how we understand the world in front of us. At the bottom most level, I am searching for the core need, and how behavior is a response to getting those needs met.
